This 3 plate colour drypoint etching is Milne’s second version of this subject and was executed between March and April, 1941 in an edition of 33. The work is based on a watercolour entitled Still Water, although Milne first titled the print Reflections, but by August, 1941 he had settled on the title Still Water and Fish for both the watercolour and the print.
